Due West, SC – The Flying Fleet sent 14 hitters to the plate in the third inning, scoring 10 runs and went on to a 18-7 victory over Anderson University Tuesday afternoon in nonconference action.

Erskine would take a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Sam Cothran reached on an infield single and then scored on a double by Henry Faunce.  The Trojans would tie the game on a solo home run by Michael Rochester in the top of the second.  In the bottom of the third, Trevor Wood, Cothran and Chris Rave would lead off the inning with three straight singles to load the bases.  Wood would score on a wild pitch to give Erskine the lead.  Faunce would then blast a three run home run down the left field line to make it a 5-1 game.  Chaz Davey would then follow with a solo home run to left center.  Erskine would add five more runs in the inning to make it an11-1 game and go on for the victory.

Faunce was 3-4 with a double, home run and seven RBI's, while Cothran and Wood each had four hits.  Chase Watts was also 3-4 with a triple and two runs scored.  Isaac Rodgers (1-0) picked up his first career win allowing four runs on six hits in 7.1 innings of work.
