DUE WEST, SC - The Erskine Women's Volleyball team cruised past the Falcons of Pfeiffer University tonight in Conference Carolinas action. It was the 1st home conference match of the year for the Fleet.
Coach
Heather Vahjen was able to get 15 players time on the court in what was a dominating performance by the Fleet (4-4, 2-0 CC). They would be in control throughout, winning three straight sets (25-17, 25-13, 25-15). The Fleet attacked well, ending the match with a .297 hitting percentage.
Kristen Dodge lead the Fleet with a game high 38 assists.
Kelly Sullivan lead Erskine's balanced attack with 10 kills.
Sade Mendez and
Kendall Kirk contributed 10 digs apiece while Kirk threw in 4 services aces as well.
The Belk Arena crowd erupted as the match ended on a kill by Freshman
Raven Valentine, who was seeing her first action of the year.
The Fleet are back in action tomorrow in Belk Arena at 2 pm as they take on non-conference foe Armstrong State University.
