Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (6-6, 6-2) lost to conference foe Pfeiffer University Falcons (12-3, 6-1) 8 to 1 this afternoon in women's tennis action at the Erskine College Tennis Complex.
 
Erskine found themselves in a deep hole after the doubles matches.  Mollie Polk (Round O, SC, Pinewood Preparatory School) and Rebecca Weaver (Lake City, SC, The Carolina Academy) fought hard but came up short losing 9-8 (7-5) at #3 doubles, giving Pfeiffer an early 3 to 0 lead.
 
Pfeiffer won five of the six singles matches to claim the game.  Senior Mika Goyette (Montreal, Quebec, Ecole Secondaire De Mortague) scored the Fleet's lone point, winning at #2 singles in straight sets.
 
After attending classes tomorrow, Erskine  will head to Hilton Head Island for three matches before celebrating the Easter Holiday.
