Box Score Pembroke, NC – Brandon Overstreet belted a three run home run in the top of the eighth inning to erase a one run deficit and help lead the 9^th ranked Flying Fleet to a 10-5 victory over UNC Pembroke Tuesday afternoon.

In the top of the first, Joey Wilson (Charleston, SC, USC Sumter) would single down the third baseline and later scored on a single to right field by Logan Galliher (Taylorsville, NC, Alexander Central HS) to give Erskine (22-2) the 1-0 lead.  Pembroke (17-7) would score two runs in the bottom of the second to take the lead.  The Fleet would tie the game up with a run in the fifth.  In the top of the sixth, Alex Garland (Marietta, GA, Hillgrove HS) and Tanner Lollis (Williamston, SC, Palmetto HS) would each get one out singles would move into scoring position on a wild pitch.  Garland would then score when Houston Ison (High Point, NC, Rockingham CC) reached on a fielder's choice to give Erskine the lead.  Ison would then steal second and score on a single by Overstreet to make it a 4-2 game.  The Braves would take the lead with three run in the bottom of the seventh.   In the top of the eighth, Garland would lead off with a single and Chris Moody (Columbia, SC, Ridge View HS) would run for him.  He would advance to second on a single by Ison.  Overstreet would then step to the pate and blast a three run opposite field home run to put Erskine up 8-5.  The Fleet would add two more runs in the ninth and take the 10-5 victory.

Overstreet led the Fleet at the plate going 3-6 with a home run and four RBI's, while Wilson was 3- 5 with a double and two runs batted in.  Garland added three hits and Galliher and Lollis had two hits in the victory.  Joe Johnson (Greenwood, SC, Greenwood High School) (2-0) picked up the win pitching one-third of an inning of scoreless relief.
