The two teams split the six singles matches, giving UNG the 5 to 4 victory. Goyette, junior
Sarah McDonald (Round O, SC, Colleton Preparatory Academy) and junior
Haley Elliott (Simpsonville, SC, Mauldin High School) won the three singles matches for the Fleet. Goyette and Elliott won in straight sets while McDonald rebounds after losing her first set to win the next two.
Polk and freshman
Rebecca Weaver (Lake City, SC, The Carolina Academy) pushed their opponents to three sets but could not pull out the victory. Polk lost her third set in the tie-breaker.
