Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Mount Olive, NC – The Trojans of Mount Olive swept a Conference Carolinas double header from Erskine College Saturday to clinch the series victory.

Game One

In the bottom of the first, Mount Olive (19-11, 7-2) took advantage of a Flying Fleet error to take a 1-0 lead.  The Trojans would again take advantage of an Erskine (19-7, 7-2) error in the third to increase their lead to two.  In the top of the fourth, Logan Galliher (Taylorsville, NC, Alexander Central HS) singled with one out and then scored on a double by Destin Nichols (Tampa, FL, Berkley Prep).  With two outs, Joey Wilson (Charleston, SC, USC Sumter) would double to score Nichols and tie the game up.  Mount Olive would load the bases and a Trojan pinch hitter would double to clear the bases and give the Trojans a 5-2 lead and held on for the win.

Wilson led the Fleet at the plate going 2-3 with a double and RBI, while Sam Cothran (Williamston, SC, Palmetto HS) was 2-4 with a double.  Landon Dickerson (Williamston, SC, Palmetto High School) (1-1) took the loss allowing two runs on three hits in two plus innings of work.

Game Two

The Fleet would take the lead in the top of the second when Galliher led off with a double and scored on a double by Wilson.  Mount Olive would score two runs in the third to take the one run lead, but the Fleet would tie the game in the top of the fourth on a solo home run by Wilson.  The game wouldn't stayed tied for long as the Trojans answered with a run in the bottom of the inning to regain the lead.  In the top of the seventh, Brandon Overstreet (Stuart, FL, Herkimer CC) led off with a single.  He would then steal second and advanced to third when the throw went to the outfield.  Tanner Lollis (Williamston, SC, Palmetto HS) would then hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Overstreet and tie the game.  Mount Olive would get two solo home runs in the next two innings to take the 5-3 victory.

Wilson again led the Fleet going 2-4 with a double, home run and two RBI's, while Andrew Kozak (Sidney, NY, Hudson Valley CC), Cothran and Galliher each added two hits in the loss.  JR Black (Greenville, SC, USC Sumter) (4-1) took the loss allowing two runs on two hits and striking out four.
