Erskine falls to #8 St. Leo 5 to 4

Hilton Head Island, S.C. – Erskine's upset bid of #8 Saint Leo University came up one set short as the Flying Fleet (10-4) fell to the Lions 5 to 4 in non-conference women's tennis action.

Erskine emerged from the doubles competition leading 2 to 1.  Sophomores Miranda Guthrie (Suwanee, GA, Home-schooled) and Sarah McDonald (Cottageville, SC, Colleton Preparatory Academy) won their #2 doubles match 8 to 5 while Corin Hallman (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) and Mika Goyette (Brossard, Quebec, Ecole Secondaire De Mortague) had their 8-match win streak snapped, losing by the same score of 8 to 5 at #1 doubles.  Erskine won the third match by default as St. Leo was unable to play due to a recent injury.
