Box Score Augusta, GA – Georgia Regents University defeated Erskine College 6-4 Tuesday afternoon in non conference baseball action.

Erskine (15-3) would take a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, when Chase Corn (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge HS) hit a two out double and then scored on a single by Logan Galliher (Taylorsville, NC, Alexander Central HS).  The Jaguars (11-12) would score five runs on seven hits in the bottom half of the inning to make it a 5-1 game.  The Fleet bullpen would come in and shut Georgia Regents down allowing just one unearned run over the next seven innings, but it wouldn't be enough as the Erskine rally fell short. 

Galliher led the Fleet at the plate going 4-4 with a double and one run driven in.  Corn was 2-4 with a double and run scored and Destin Nichols (Tampa, FL, Berkley Prep) added a double and RBI.  Alex Rhodes (Greenwood, SC, Greenwood High School) (0-1) took the loss allowing five runs on five hits in one-third of an inning of work.

Erskine returns to action this weekend as they will host Barton College in a Conference Carolinas series.
