Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Women's Tennis Team (6-3, 3-0) defeated conference foe Bobcats of Lees-McRae College (1-6, 0-1) this afternoon at the Erskine College Tennis Complex.
Erskine opened the match by claiming the three doubles matches in quick fashion.
In singles competition, Erskine breezed through five of the six matches, winning in straight sets.
Mika Goyette (Brossard, Quebec, Ecole Secondaire De Mortague),
Sarah McDonald (Cottageville, SC, Colleton Preparatory Academy), and
Mollie Polk (Round O, SC, Pinewood Preparatory School) shut out their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
Lees-McRae claimed their lone point at #2 singles as Hilary Lutz clipped
Miranda Guthrie (Suwanee, GA, Home-schooled) in three sets.
With the win, Erskine remains undefeated in conference play at 3-0.
Erskine returns to action next Saturday against conference foe King University. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
