Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (2-1) smashed the Wolves of Newberry College (2-2) 9-0 this afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at the Erskine College Tennis Complex.

While all three doubles matches were competitive, Erskine prevailed to win all three.  The closest match was at #1 doubles. Corin Hallman (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) and Mika Goyette (Brossard, Quebec, Ecole Secondaire De Mortague) edged Susana Aguirre and Romina Adum 8 to 6.  The Fleet won the other two matches by the same score of 8 to 4.

Erskine won four of the six singles in straight sets.  Goyette and Haley Elliott (Simpsonville, SC, Mauldin High School) required three sets to win their singles matches.

Erskine will travel to play #12 Francis Marion University this Saturday.  The match is set to start at 1:00 p.m.
