Due West, S.C. – After losing two of the three doubles matches, Erskine stormed back to win three singles but could not claim the decisive last point, losing to the Pacers of USC-Aiken 5 to 4 this afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action.
In doubles play, Erskine's
Corin Hallman (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) and
Mika Goyette (Brossard, Quebec, Ecole Secondaire De Mortague) quickly defeated their opponents 8 to 3 to claim the first point of the match. The remaining two doubles matches were not decided until late with USC-Aiken winning both 8 to 6 and 8 to 5 to take a 2 to 1 lead into the six singles matches.
