Box Score Pembroke, NC – The 14^th ranked Braves of UNC Pembroke pounded out 14 hits to take a 12-3 victory over visiting Erskine Wednesday in non conference baseball action.

Erskine (10-2) got on the board first in the bottom of the second when Logan Galliher (Taylorsville, NC, Alexander Central HS) led off with a walk and then later scored on a two out single by Cody Spence (Belton, SC, Belton-Honea Path HS).  The lead would be short lived, and Brett Huffman would blast a three run home run in the bottom half of the inning to give Pembroke (11-3) a 3-1 lead.  The Braves would go on to score nine runs in the next five innings to take the victory.

Spence Led the Fleet at the plate going 2-4 and driving in two runs, while Galliher was 2-3 with two runs scored.  Zach Smith (Lexington, SC, White Knoll HS) drove in the other Erskine run and Joey Wilson (Charleston, SC, USC Sumter) added a double.  Austin Gambrell (Belton, SC, Spartanburg Methodist College) (2-1) took the loss allowing five earned runs on six hits in 3.2 innings of work while striking out four.

Erskine returns to action Friday as they host Georgia Regents University at 2:00 pm.  The schedule for Saturday has changed, as the Fleet will now travel to Augusta, GA to play Lindenwood University who will be in town to play Georgia Regents on Sunday.
