Box Score Due West, SC – The Erskine offense pounded out 16 hits, seven for extra bases, to take an 11-1 victory over Georgia Regents University of Augusta Monday afternoon in baseball action. 

The Fleet (3-1) jumped out with two runs in the bottom of the first.  After back to back two out singles by Chase Corn (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge HS) and Zach Smith (Lexington, SC, White Knoll HS), Logan Galliher (Taylorsville, NC, Alexander Central HS) would double to score both runners.  Brandon Overstreet (Stuart, FL, Herkimer CC) would lead off the second with a double and then later score on a sacrifice fly by Andrew Kozak (Sidney, NY, Hudson Valley CC) to make it a three run game.  In the bottom of the third, Corn would lead off with a double and score on a double by Smith who later scored to make it a 5-0 game.  The Jaguars (3-4) would get on the board in the sixth when JD Sabo led off with a single and later scored on a ground out by Jeff Rice to cut the lead to four.  Erskine would respond with six runs in the next two innings to break the game open. 

Corn led the Fleet at the plate going 4-5 with two doubles and three RBI's, while Galliher was 3-4 with a double and two runs driven in.  Smith added three hits and Overstreet two for the Erskine offense.  Chase Norman (Blacksburg, SC, Blacksburg HS) (1-0) picked up the win allowing one run on four hits in three innings of relief work.

Rice led the Jaguars offense going 2-3 and drove in the lone run, while Bradley Dennis also added two hits.  Phil Dukes (0-1) took the loss allowing five runs on seven hits in three innings of work.
