Columbus, GA – In a rematch of the Fleet’s season opening match, #3 seed and #10 ranked Francis Marion University blanked #6 seed Erskine 5-0 in the NCAA Division II Women’s Tennis South Regional Tournament at the Mary V. Blackmon Tennis Center on the campus of Columbus State.

Unlike the season opening match, Erskine was unable to win one of the three doubles matches, falling behind 3-0 to the Patriots.

FMU picked up their last two points with straight set wins at #4 and #5 singles.  In the four remaining matches, Erskine’s Corin Hallman (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) and Sarah McDonald (Cottageville, SC, Colleton Preparatory Academy) were up a set in their respective matches when play was halted.

Erskine ends their season at 18-6 overall and 10-0 in conference.
