Due West, S.C. – After seeing their six match win streak snapped earlier this week, Erskine bounced back this weekend hammering King College 9-0 on Friday and Lees-McRae 8-1 yesterday.
On Friday, Erskine embarrassed King College 9-0. Erskine swept through the doubles portion of the match winning all three matches. The Fleet only lost five games total in doubles play.
Erskine then breezed through the six singles matches, winning all six in straight sets. Again, Erskine surrendered only a handful of games in the six match sweep.
The next day Erskine continued to play well, losing only one match at #1 doubles 8-6. The Fleet again swept through the singles matches, winning all six in straight sets.
Mika Goyette (Brossard, Quebec, Ecole Secondaire De Mortagne) blanked her opponent 6-0, 6-0 while
Miranda Guthrie (Suwanee, GA, Home-schooled) and
Victoria Stephens (Cumming, GA, South Forsyth High School)won their matches 6-1, 6-0.
Erskine is now 8-3 overall and 6-0 in conference.
Erskine will need to play their best tennis to extend their win streak to three matches. On Friday, #2 BYU-Hawaii pays a visit to Due West. Match time is set for 2:00 p.m.
