Anderson, SC – Erskine pounded out 15 hits as the Flying Fleet took an 8-3 victory over arch rival Anderson University Wednesday afternoon in non conference action. 

The Fleet were led at the plate by Austin Gambrell (Belton, SC, Spartanburg Methodist College) who was 3-4 with a double and two RBI’s.  Chase Corn (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge HS) finished the game 3-5 with two runs scored and Phillip Herring (Dillon, SC, Dillion HS) was 2-4 with a double and two runs driven in.  Dustin Sherbert (Mayo, SC, Chesnee HS) (1-0) picked up the win allowing just one run on three hits and striking out four in five innings of work.

Erskine returns to the field as they will play a three game series against Stillman College this weekend in Tuscaloosa, AL.
