Box Score Misenheimer, N.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (9-14, 8-8) picked up a key road win downing the Falcons of Pfeiffer University 3-0 (25-21, 25-22, 25-17) this afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's volleyball action at Merner Gym.
The Fleet earned 22 points on 10 service aces and 12 blocks. Junior setter
Megan Johnson (Little River, SC, Scholars Academy) paced the Fleet with her sixth double-double of the season with 20 assists and 11 digs. She also contributed 2 service aces and 1 block to fill the stat sheet. Sophomore middle hitter
Kelly Sullivan (Wellington, FL, Wellington Community High School) led the Fleet offensively with 9 kills, 3 aces and 3 blocks.
Pfeiffer was led by Brianna Jones' 11 kills and 4 digs.
With two games remaining, Erskine remains within striking distance of 4
th place and the opportunity to host in the first round of the conference tournament.
The road victory was just the Fleet's third win on the road this season.
In a scheduling quirk, Erskine's final two games are against North Greenville University. Erskine will travel to Tigerville on Wednesday to play the Crusaders then return home to host them on Friday. Both games start at 7:00 p.m.
