Concord, N.C. – The Erskine Men's Cross Country finished in 9
th place at the Conference Carolinas Championship Meet hosted by Belmont Abbey College at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina.
Junior
Richard Borrero (Orlando, FL, Cypress Creek High School) led the Fleet completing the 8k course in 27:54 to finish in 33
rd place overall.
Freshman
James Gregory (Indian Land, SC, Indian Land High School) was just 10 seconds behind Borrero, coming in 36
th place while fellow freshman
Vincent Harris (Vero Beach, FL, Sebastian River High School) completed the course in 28:28 for 43
rd place.
Sophomore
Dustin Corder (Lexington, SC, Pelion High School) and freshman
Tyler Hansen (Pendleton, SC, Pendleton High School) rounded out the scoring for the Flying Fleet coming in 61
st and 71
st places overall.
Mt. Olive's Dylan Lafond won the event with a time of 24:15.67, 40 seconds ahead of North Greenville's Ahmad Nesbitt.
Mt. Olive also won the team competition while King University finished second.
Erskine will wrap up their season in two weeks at the NCAA Southeast Regional Meet at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
