NEW ORLEANS, La. - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country All-Region honorees and sophomore Ángel Galán represented the Fleet on the list.
Galán finished inside the top-25 at the NCAA DII Southeast Regional this past weekend with a 24th-place finish and a time of 30:48.7 in the 10k race.
A total of 200 men from 83 different programs and 200 women from 91 different programs earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Galán's latest accolade caps a historic sophomore season where he also ran a 8k career-best 25:25.4 in the Southeast Regional Preview earlier this year that was the fastest by a member of the Flying Fleet since at least 2009.
