Box Score Due West, SC – The Flying Fleet scored nine unanswered runs to erase a 2-0 deficit and defeat the Bulldogs of Wingate University 9-2 Wednesday afternoon in non conference baseball action.

Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Will Huff (Sugar Hill, GA, North Gwinette HS) would lead off the inning with a double to left center field and then later score on a Wingate (8-10) error to make it a 2-1 game.  In the next inning, Logan Galliher (Taylorsville, NC, Alexander Central HS) would lead off with a walk and then later score on a single by Josh Purvis (Valdosta, GA, Armstrong Atlantic University) to tie the game up.  Huff would follow with a sacrifice fly that scored Drew Willingham (Greenwood, SC, Greenwood HS) to give Erskine (7-6) the lead.  The Fleet would blow the game open with four runs in the seventh inning, with the big blow being a three run home run by Huff. 

Huff was a perfect 3-3 on the day with four runs batted in, while Purvis and Chase Corn (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge HS) each had a hit and an RBI.  Freshman John Sever (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge HS) (1-0) picked up his first career win, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and striking out seven in five innings of work.
