Gaffney, SC – After dropping their first conference game midweek, Erskine rebounded with a 3-1 win over Limestone in Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball action at the Timken Center. Erskine moves to 8-6 overall and 3-1 in conference while the Limestone slips to 6-8 overall and 3-2 in conference.
Erskine dropped the first set to the home team 25-20 but bounced back to take the three sets 30-28, 25-16, and 26-24. Freshman Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) had her best game so far this season with 11 kills on 28 attempts with 4 digs and 2 blocks. Senior Sandra Campbell (Pilot Point, TX, Point Pilot HS) led the Fleet with a game-high 17 kills with 4 blocks. Juniors Liz Massey (Greenville, SC, Eastside High School) and Brooke Dodge (Duncan, SC, Byrnes High School) anchored the back row defensively with 16 and 14 digs respectively.
For the Saints, Holli Dawson had 16 kills and teammate Brittany Henderson added 10 kills with 4 blocks.
Erskine is back in action on Tuesday when they host the Crusaders of North Greenville University. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
