Banner Elk, NC – The Erskine Women’s Tennis team clinched the conference title by beating Lees-McRae 9-0 today at the Lees-McRae College Tennis Complex.  Erskine stays perfect in conference at 9-0 and is now 15-4 overall.  Lees-McRae College falls to 2-8 overall and 2-5 in conference.

This marks the seventh time in eight years that Erskine has won the women’s tennis conference title.

Erskine completely dominated the match.  Erskine opened the match by winning the three doubles matches 8-2, 8-1, and 8-1.  The Fleet continued their domination into the singles round winning all six matches in straight sets.

Along with the conference title, Erskine also claims the #1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament to be played next weekend at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, South Carolina.  Erskine will serve as the host institution at the tournament.
