Due West, SC – Barton College swept a double header from Erskine Saturday afternoon, winning game one 6-4 and game two 6-2.

Game one

Erskine was led at the plate by Brian Laznik (Chardon, OH, Lakeland CC) who was 2-3 with a double, home run and an RBI. Zach Smith (Lexington, SC, White Knoll HS) and John Bolding (Pickens, SC, Pickens HS) added two hits each, while Chase Corn (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge HS) added a two run home run. Zach McAllister (Simpsonville, SC, Hillcrest HS) (2-1) took the loss allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out two in five innings of work.

Game two

Bolding led the Fleet offense in game two going 2-3 with two doubles and an RBI, while Laznik, Smith, and Will Huff (Sugar Hill, GA, North Gwinnett HS) added singles.  Huitt Scarborough (Anderson, SC, Westside High School) (1-1) took the loss allowing five runs on seven hits in four innings of work.

The Fleet drop to 17-7 overall and 3-6 in the conference and will return to action Tuesday as they travel to North Greenville.
