Gaffney, SC – Limestone took both games of a Conference Carolinas double header from the 15th ranked Flying Fleet, winning 7-2 and 12-6.
In game one, Erskine was led at the plate Brian Laznik (Chardon, OH, Lakeland CC) who was 1-3 with an RBI, while Casey Winckowski (Oregon, OH, Owens CC) was 1-3 with a double and run scored and Zach Smith (Lexington, SC, White Knoll HS) added a single and run batted in. Tayler Ramsey (Richburg, SC, USC-Sumter) took the loss allowing four runs on four hits in four innings of work.
In game two, John Bolding (Pickens, SC, Pickens HS) led the Fleet offense going 2-4 with a double and RBI, while Drew Willingham (Hodges, SC, Greenwood HS) was 1-4 with a double and run driven in and Zach McCarthy (Spartanburg, SC, Byrnes HS) was 1-2 with a double and run scored. Huitt Scarborough (Anderson, SC, Westside High School) was the tough luck loser allowing one earned run in two and a third innings of work before leaving the game with an injury.
The Fleet return to action Tuesday as the host North Greenville at 2:30 pm.
