Due West, SC – The Erskine Women’s Volleyball Team lost their last two regular season games on the road this weekend. On Friday night, the Flying Fleet lost a 5-set match to North Greenville University (25-20, 21-25, 21-25, 25-21, 12-15). The next day the Fleet lost in straight sets (20-25, 20-25, 11-25) to King College. Erskine concludes their regular season at 18-14 overall and 13-5 in conference.
Seniors
Sandra Campbell (Pilot Point, TX, USC-Upstate) and
Jamie Murray (Hermann, MO, East Central CC) combined to lead the Fleet in Friday’s match. Campbell earned her first “double-double” with a game-high 20 kills and 11 blocks. Murray had 15 kills and 4 digs. Junior
Larz Chabra (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) also recorded a “double-double” from her setter position with 50 assists and 10 digs. Junior
Liz Massey (Greenville, SC, Eastside High School)had a team-high 22 digs.
Murray led the Fleet the next day against King College with 8 kills. Freshman
Caitlin Bullock (Lexington, SC, White Knoll High School) added 7 kills while Chabra had a season-low 13 assists along with 5 digs. Massey again anchored the back row with 13 digs while junior
Lauren Stewart (Hartwell, GA, Hart County High School) had 12 digs.
Erskine enters the conference tournament this weekend as the West #2 seed and will host the East #3 seed Pfeiffer University on Tuesday, November 8
th. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
