Wilson, NC – Erskine pummeled Barton 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-13) in Conference Carolinas women’s volleyball action to run their win-streak to a season-high four games. Erskine is now 11-6 overall and 6-1 in conference. The Bulldogs of Barton College fall to 6-9 overall and 2-5 in conference.

Jamie Murray (Hermann, MO, East Central CC) and
Sandra Campbell (Pilot Point, TX, USC-Upstate)capped their two-day road trip with 16 and 14 kills respectively in leading the Fleet to a .358 hitting percentage. For the weekend, the two seniors had 61 kills on 98 attempts in the two games. Campbell also had a game-high 4 blocks helping the Fleet limit Barton to .078 hitting percentage on the day. Larz Chabra (Mt. Pleasant, SC) had 32 assists, 9 digs and 2 blocks while fellow junior
Liz Massey (Greenville, SC, Eastside High School) contributed 9 kills with a game-high 15 digs.
Barton was led by Kati Wood with 9 kills while Amanda Grandy finished with 11 digs. As a team, Barton entered the game ranked second in the nation in blocks but only managed to stuff the Fleet three times today.
Erskine returns to the friendly confides of Belk Arena this Wednesday as the Fleet host King College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
