Due West, SC - Erskine College swept a non conference double header Saturday afternoon, winning game one 4-1 and game two 9-1.

After falling behind 2-0 in the top of the second in game one, the Fleet would score three runs in the bottom of the forth with the big hits being doubles by Chas Anthony (Pickens, SC, Pickens High School) and John Bolding (Pickens, SC, Pickens HS). Erskine would add an insurance run in the fifth, when Brandon Garret hit a two out triple and then scored when Luke Danielewicz (Spartanburg, SC, Dorman High School) reached on a Bloomsburg error.

Danielewicz was 1-2 with a RBI and run scored to lead the Fleet and four other players had one hit each. Carlton Watts (Laurens, SC, Spartanburg Methodist) (4-0) picked up the win with a complete game performance, allowing two unearned runs on six hits and striking out four.

In game two, the Fleet would score in five of their six at bats and cruise to the 9-1 victory.

Anthony led the Fleet going 3-4 with a double, two runs scored and one run batted in, while Bryan Fogle (Lexington, SC, Lexington High School) was 2-4 with a home run and four RBIs. Chris Hall (Batesburg-Leesville, SC, Batesburg-Leesville HS) (1-1) picked up the win allowing one run on five hits in five innings and striking out four.

The two teams will conclude their series Monday afternoon with a single game starting at 2:00 pm.
