Tigerville, SC – The 20th ranked Flying Fleet split a non conference double header with North Greenville Wednesday afternoon, winning game one 5-3 and losing game two 6-2.
Erskine was led at the plate by
Chas Anthony (Pickens, SC, Pickens High School) who was 2-4 with a double, home run and two RBI’s, while
Luke Danielewicz (Spartanburg, SC, Dorman High School) and
Matt Youngblood (Travelers Rest, SC, Blue Ridge CC) each added two hits and a run batted in.
Mo Seay (Anderson, SC, Westside HS) picked up his first career win, pitching two shut out innings of relief work and striking out two batters while
William Buzhardt (Columbia, SC, Ben Lippen High School) picked up his first save of the year with an inning and two-thirds of scoreless work with four strike outs.
In the second game,
John Bolding (Pickens, SC, Pickens HS) was the lone Fleet hitter with two hits, while
Greg Huff (McDonough, GA, Henry County High School) and
Zach McCarthy (Spartanburg, SC, Byrnes HS) each had an RBI in the loss.
Andrew Guest (Easley, SC, Easley High School) took the loss allowing three runs on three hits in two innings of work.
Erskine returns to action Friday afternoon as they will host Pfeiffer in the first game of a Conference Carolinas series.
