Clinton, SC – The Erskine women’s basketball team lost its second straight game to an in state Division I school, falling 70-42 to Presbyterian College Tuesday afternoon at the Templeton Center.

The Blue Hose jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first three minutes, but the Fleet would battle back and make it a 10-5 game on a layup by Neci Allen (North Augusta, SC, North Augusta High School) at the 12:36 mark.  Presbyterian would then go on a 16-0 run to pull away from the Fleet. 

Erskine outscored the Blue Hose 12-6 on points off turnovers and 13-7 on second chance points, but poor three point shooting plagued the Fleet as they missed on all 19 of their attempts.

Allen led Erskine with 10 points, while Porsha Morgan (Columbus, GA, LaGrange Academy) added nine points in the loss. Taylar Stewart (Hartwell, GA, Hart County High School) pulled down a game high nine rebounds and scored eight points.

The Lady Fleet drop to 0-2 on the season and will return to action Thursday night as they travel to Anderson to play the arch rival Trojans at 7:00 pm.
