Banner Elk, NC---The Erskine College Softball team swept a Conference Carolinas double header from Lees McRae Wednesday afternoon winning game one 10-2 and game two 4-3.

The Fleet jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and would not look back in the first game. Erskine was led at the plate by Ashlee LaFontaine who was 2-4 with a home run and RBI, while Katee Knapp was 2-4 with two doubles and a run driven in. Courtney Davis finished the game 1-3 with a home run and three RBIs and Kelly Davis was 1-4 with a home run and three runs driven in. Lauren Gunter picked up the win allowing two runs in six innings and striking out four.

In game two, the Fleet were once again led on offense by LaFontaine who was 3-4 with a double and RBI, and Lindsey LaPrad who was 3-4 with a run batted in. Jocelyn Smith, Rebekah George, and Kayla Vinson all added a hit each for Erskine in the victory. George picked up the win allowing three runs in eight innings of work and striking out three.
