Due West, SC—14th ranked Erskine College split a Conference Carolinas double header with Pfeiffer Saturday afternoon, losing game one 7-6 and winning game 7-3. Erskine wins the series two games to one and is now 37-6 overall and 17-5 in the conference while Pfeiffer is now 22-26 and 8-16.
In game one Pfeiffer was led at the plate by Hunter Wyke who was 2-4 with a double and run scored while Bryan Braxton was 2-5 with an RBI. Hayes Hinson was 1-4 with a home run and RBI. Adam Sedberry picked up the win pitching three shut out innings of relief.
Erskine was led at the plate by Bryan Fogle who was 2-4 with a home run and run batted in and Brandon Garrett who was 2-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. John Bolding and Keith Hill each hit a solo home run for the Fleet in the loss.
In game two, Erskine was led at the plate by Chas Anthony who was 3-4 with a double, home run and five runs batted in, while Fogle was 2-2 with two runs scored. Hill finished the game 2-4 with an RBI. Michael Moore picked up his ninth win of the season allowing three runs, one earned in a complete game performance.
The Falcons were led on offense by Shawn Coke who was 2-3 with a run driven in and Braxton was 1-4 with a run scored. Ben Beard took the loss allowing seven runs on 11 hits in six innings of work.
