Due West, SC---Erskine College split a non conference softball double header with Mars Hill Saturday afternoon, losing game one 3-0 and winning game two 4-1.

With the split, the Fleet are now 5-3 on the season while Mars Hill is 3-1.

In game one, Jocelyn Smith, Courtney Davis, and Kayla Vinson each had a hit for the Fleet. Lauren Gunter took the loss for Erskine allowing one earned run in seven innings of work and striking out three.

The Fleet rebounded in game two, led by Ashlee LaFontaine and Davis who were 1-3 with two RBIs each, while Rebekah George was 2-3 and Kelly Davis had three stolen bases. Gunter picked up the win, pitching 3.2 innings of relief and allowed no runs on just one hit.
