#29 Erskine Picks Up Victory Over Limestone

Due West, SC---Erskine College scored six runs and held off several Limestone rallies to take a 6-4 victory over the Saints Tuesday afternoon.

Erskine took the early lead scoring two runs in the first inning and added another run in the third to go up 3-0. The Saints scored two runs in the fourth to cut the Fleet lead to one, but they would not be able to get any closer. Chas Anthony continued his hot streak at the plate hitting a two run home run to put Erskine back up by three and the Fleet would hold on for the win.

Anthony led the Fleet at the plate, going 4-4 with a home run and three RBI’s. Matt Schneider and John Bolding were both 2-3 with one and two runs batted in respectivly.   Alex O’Quinn picked up his first win of the season allowing three runs in six innings of work and Huitt Scarborough picked up his fourth save allowing one run in three innings of work and striking out two.

The Saints were led at the plate by Matt Still who was 1-4 with a double and RBI, while Ron Torrance was also 1-4 with an RBI. Kyle Matheney took the loss allowing six runs in 6.1 innings and striking out three.

Erskine improves to 12-0 on the season while Limestone falls to 7-5.
