Justin Brubaker became the Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Erskine College in the summer of 2016. Fresh off his best season at the helm of the Flying Fleet in 2023, where he guided Erskine to a 14-13 record, including a 9-5 conference record, the Fleet earned the 2-seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament, their highest finish in eight years.
During Brubaker's tenure, Erskine has had 9 all-conference players, including 4 first-team performers. 2023 Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year, Kacper Rybarczyk, was also named an AVCA All-American honorable mention.
Brubaker played professional volleyball in the 2012 and 2013 seasons and acquired many MVP honors including the England Super 8 League MVP and the Swedish Grand Prix Championships MVP. Brubaker was also a four time NCAA Division III First Team All-American while playing outside hitter of the Cairn University Highlanders (formerly Philadelphia Biblical University). Other honors to his name are NECVA Conference Player of the Year (2011) and MVP of Adult Nationals – Men’s Open (2011).
After playing professional volleyball in Europe, Brubaker was the Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Hannibal-LaGrange University (NAIA) and led the Trojans to the highest conference ranking in program history. After building the program at Hannibal-LaGrange for two years he became the Assistant Coach at Lindenwood University, and NCAA DII school located in St. Charles, MO.
Brubaker is a 2011 graduate from Cairn University. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in both Health and Physical Education and Bible.
