During the 2017 Season Absalon was a big factor in many matches. One of his top matches of the year was when he recorded 13 total points, with 5 blocks, and 11 kills against Barton College in the first round of playoffs. He was named a Conference Carolinas Top Performer for the week of February 7-11 for 6 Blocks in a win over Lees-McRae. Absalon also has one of the highest approach touch’s on the team at 11’ 6.5”

Absalon would love to explore the entire country of Switzerland on vacation. Apart from the inimitable sight of the Swiss wintry Alps, I am more so attracted by the slightly offerings of the warmer seasons, primarily the mountains that sit along the Switzerland horizon in the summer as they slightly remind me of those I see from my home Las Vegas throughout the winter. This similarity could be what places Switzerland at the top of my list of places to vacation. Usually he isn’t able to call a food his favorite, but he can pick a food group, which would be any one of Italy’s finest pastas. He is definitely able to chef a mean pasta!

After college Absalon wants hit the ground running into social work. He plans to drive his own branch through governmental partnerships. Once he has accomplished that he plans to dive into entrepreneurship at the discretion of his person interests.

His favorite quote is a popular one from one of India’s prime ministers Indira Gandhi. She says, “You cannot shake hands with a clenched fist.” This lives as a favorite for him because, personally, it applies to sports and career affairs. It’s open to individual interpretation, however he will attest with certainty that is has proven itself true and applicable in many extents in his life already.
