Robert McClure

A Columbus, Ohio native, Coach McClure attended Harvest Prep High School where he was 2nd Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention All-State, and State Runner-Up. After high school, Coach McClure attended NCAA Division 2 School, Urbana University. As a freshman he redshirted. The next year Coach McClure saw some minutes but decided to transfer to NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) school, Valor Christian College. At Valor Christian College, Coach McClure was All- Conference three years in a row, scored 787 points in three years, 2012-2013 USCAA National Champion. Coach McClure went on to play professionally overseas for three years. While playing in Germany for the Bad Marienberg Giants, he averaged 28.3 points per game and led the league in scoring. After Germany, Coach McClure played in Ireland for Belfast where he was the leading scorer for two years in Ireland’s Division 1 league, averaging 22.5 points per game. Injuries prematurely ended McClure’s professional playing career and he began his coaching career.

Coach McClure is in his first year at Erskine College as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. His role here at Erskine is Player Development, coaching the varsity two team, serving as a mentor for the student athletes and assisting in their academic and professional development. He is also responsible for recruiting organization.
