Drew Wallace

Drew Wallace transitioned to his role as Associate Athletic Director for Operations & External Relations in the Summer of 2020. He will oversee recruiting management for the Athletic Department, operations at all athletic events/facilities, and the Sports Information Department.  

Prior to Summer 2020, Wallace spent 13 years with the Flying Fleet Basketball program. After four years as an assistant coach, Wallace was elevated to Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach in 2013-14. Also serving as Recruiting Coordinator, he was responsible for the team’s recruitment of potential student-athletes and significantly increased the size of the basketball program after 2007. He recruited several Conference Carolinas All-Conference players, as well as a Conference Carolinas Freshman and Defensive Player of the Year. Wallace assisted the Fleet to their most successful 2 year span (2012-2014) in program history since joining NCAA Division II.  He also recruited Erskine’s revived Men’s Golf team and first Women’s Golf team that both began competition in the Fall of 2008.
 
Wallace is a 2007 graduate of Erskine College where he received a B.S. in Sport Management and Business Administration. He played 4 seasons, 2 as a starter, under Coach Mark Peeler. Mainly known for his defensive play, he was also a career 36% 3 point shooter. He was also a member of the Academic All-Conference team in his junior and senior years. His graduating class of 2007 won 53 games in their 4 year span, which is the most for any class at Erskine since becoming a member of NCAA Division II in 1992. Wallace earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University in 2010.
 
Wallace is married to Kathryn Wallace, a former NCAA Division I swimmer at Gardner-Webb University, who is currently an elementary school teacher. The couple has a son, Orlando Wallace, and a daughter, Sidney Belle.  They reside in Due West, South Carolina.
