Ryan Cliff

Last season Ryan Cliff was an assistant coach at Union College, in Barbourville Kentucky.  Cliff was responsible for managing the JV team and leading the program that played a full fall and spring schedule.  In addition, Cliff worked  with the Varsity pitching staff and in his one (1) year at Union the pitching staff improved in four categories. 

Prior to coaching at Union College, Cliff served as the pitching coach for the University of Rio Grande.  In his two seasons at Rio Grande the Red storm won 73 games, a  KIAC Conference Championship in 2016, and played  in, the NAIA opening round for the second straight year.  The Red storm pitching staff improved in six categories in Cliff’s first year and ended in the top 10 in the nation in ERA at the NAIA level in 2017.   Cliff also spent time coaching in the Great Lakes League for the Lorain County Ironmen.

Cliff played for Limestone College for four years as a left-handed pitcher, who worked himself into a weekend starter role as a red shirt freshman.  He was also a two-time Academic All-Conference player with the Saints.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Limestone College, and earned a Master of Education in Athletic Leadership and Coaching from the University of Rio Grande.
