Atlee Pearson

Atlee Pearson enters his third season as pitching coach for the Erskine College baseball program.  His past season Atlee had two of his pitchers garner Conference Carolinas Pitcher and Relief Pitcher of the Year. 

As a pitcher for four years (2007-11) at Erskine College, Atlee Pearson received All-Conference Honors and was a First Team All-American his junior year. He finished his college campaign with 20 wins and the DII NCAA Career Record of 33 saves. His senior year (2011) Atlee earned the baseball team’s MVP Award along with the John Cowan “Jake” Todd Award which is given to Erskine College’s, “most outstanding student-athlete on the basis of good sportsmanship, leadership, athletic ability, character, and academic standing.” He graduated Erskine in 2011 with a BA in Sports Management/Business. 

He went on after college to play for the El Paso Diablos Independent League team, before signing as an undrafted free agent to the San Diego Padres where he finished his career after one year in the Arizona League.

During the summer, Atlee serves as the Pitching Coach for the Oneonta Outlaws.  Last summer (2013) two pitchers won the Pitcher and Reliever of the Year Awards for the Outlaws.
