Erskine Women's Soccer | Fleet fall to Young Harris

DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College women's soccer team (0-4, 0-2 CC) was defeated by Young Harris College (3-2, 2-0 CC) by a score of 5-0 at Lundy Field on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
A pair of first-half goals from YHC put Erskine in a 2-0 hole at the break, and then the visitors added a third goal five minutes into the second half. Valentina Santana saved a penalty in the 51st minute to keep the Fleet in the match, as part of Santana's 12-save effort in goal. However, the Mountain Lions scored again in the 59th minute and added a final goal in the closing minutes. Rebekah Wiles and Soleil St. Hill each had shots on goal for Erskine, while defender Leyla Yelton logged a full 90 minutes.

Erskine goes on the road to face Chowan University (0-3, 0-1 CC) on Saturday at noon.
