HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first half where chances were few and far between and each goalkeeper saved all three shots they faced, the goal scoring and entertainment took over in the second half. Shorter took the lead 36 seconds into the second half, but
Axel Hernandez's first Erskine goal came 40 seconds later to draw things level. However, the Hawks regained the lead in the 57th minute and then added to their advantage in the 77th minute.
Peyton Williams found the back of the net for the second consecutive match with an 83rd-minute strike that set the stage for a fascinating final minutes, but Erskine could not score again to complete the comeback.
THE TEAM
Erskine and Shorter each totaled 13 shots and the Fleet had a narrow 9 to 8 advantage in shots on target as well as totaling seven corners to the Hawks' four.
