GREENVILLE, S.C. – Alessandro Santana, Jr. was named the Conference Carolinas Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of August 23-30, 2026.
A freshman kicker from Simpsonville, South Carolina, Santana, Jr., was perfect on three field goal attempts and four extra points in Erskine's season-opening win over Bluefield University. The freshman went 4-for-4 on extra points while making all three of his field goal attempts from 20, 27 and 34 yards.
Santana, Jr. becomes Erskine Football's first Conference Carolinas Football weekly award recipient.
The Fleet have this coming weekend off before traveling to Thomas University on Saturday, September 12 at 6 p.m. in search of a second consecutive win to open the season.
