DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's soccer team (0-0-1) and Ferrum College (0-0-1) played to a 0-0 draw at Lundy Field on Thursday afternoon in the Fleet's 2026 season opener.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Although the Fleet and Panthers are both members of Conference Carolinas, Thursday's match was a non-conference affair with the teams not scheduled to meet in league play in the regular season. Erskine controlled the play in the first half, while Ferrum maintained possession in their attacking half in the second period, but the 90 minutes of action came with clear-cut chances being few and far between.
Aaron Cardoza came the closest to getting Erskine on the board when his 30th-minute attempt clanked off the crossbar to keep the game scoreless. Goalkeeper
David Torres earned a clean sheet in his Erskine debut, needing just one save to hold the Panthers scoreless on Thursday.
THE TEAM
Erskine was outshot by Ferrum, 12 to 7, and the Panthers had the only shot on target in the game. The Fleet doubled the Panthers in shots in the first half and had both of their corner kicks in the opening period as well.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine wraps up non-conference play with a trip to USC Aiken (0-1) on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
