DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine Women's Flag Football program officially named Bryce Jeffcoat as their next head coach, Erskine Director of Athletics Mark Peeler announced on Monday.

Jeffcoat returns to Due West as an alumnus to lead a new program for the Fleet. He spent four seasons on the Erskine Football team from 2019-2022 and was a member of the first recruiting class in the revival of the Erskine Football program in 2019. Jeffcoat was also on the coaching staff for the Fleet for the two seasons following his graduation, where he coached quarterbacks and wide receivers.

"I am incredibly blessed and excited to be able to return and pour into a place thas poured so much into me," Jeffcoat said. "Erskine College is special and being able to build and lead a program here is a special opportunity."

During his time as a quarterback in the Erskine program, Jeffcoat appeared in 24 games, including being the starting quarterback for the Fleet in 2022, where he amassed over 1,100 passing yards and 100 completions on the season. He graduated from Erskine in the spring of 2023 and then returned to join the Fleet's coaching staff for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

"I could not be more thrilled that Bryce has accepted the responsibility of leading our flag football program. As a student-athlete at Erskine, Bryce modeled the type of character we want in "The Fleet Way," Peeler said. "He modeled that at a different level as an assistant football coach where he proved to be a great asset to our staff. Bryce has shown he can lead with high standards, recruit with a passion for Erskine and has knowledge for the sport that is outstanding. We are blessed he is back home!"

Jeffcoat will continue recruiting and preparations the Fleet's inaugural 2027 season as a Flag Football program, where Erskine will compete as one of 11 current members in a quickly growing collegiate sport.
