HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1: North Greenville 8-0 Erskine (Final / 5 innings)

A tall test awaited the Fleet on Friday, who welcomed in an NGU team atop the Conference Carolinas standings, and the Trailblazers scored in all five innings to end the opening game via run rule. Savannah Koester and Gracie Merrell each tallied hits for the Fleet.

Game 2: North Greenville 10-1 Erskine
In the back half of the doubleheader, starting pitcher Layla Clayton held the Trailblazers off the board for the first three innings, but the visitors broke the scoreless tie with a four-run fourth. Kennedy Crouch's RBI double in the sixth got the Fleet on the board, but they could not keep up with the potent North Greenville offense.

Game 3: Mount Olive 8-2 Erskine
The Fleet quickly turned their attention to the Trojans on Saturday afternoon, and a Kennedy Crouch RBI single in the bottom half of the first answered back a two-run top half from the visitors. That kept the Fleet within a run until UMO broke through with a six-run third to put the game out of reach. Gabby Burroughs added a solo home run in the sixth, her fourth big fly of the season.

Game 4: Mount Olive 7-2 Erskine
In the final game of the weekend, the visiting Trojans started fast and jumped out to an early 6-0 lead. Kennedy Crouch's third RBI of the weekend got the Fleet on the board in the fourth, and Mckinna Taylor drove in another run in the sixth, but the early deficit proved to be the difference.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine wraps up this home stand with a non-conference doubleheader against Carolina University (9-13) on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
