Erskine Men's Volleyball | Fleet earn valuable conference wins over Lees-McRae, King

DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (7-10, 3-5 CC) defeated Lees-McRae College (10-9, 5-3 CC) and King University (4-15, 0-9 CC) at Belk Arena over the weekend.

The Fleet took care of the Bobcats in straight sets on Friday, and then downed the Tornado in four sets on Senior Day on Saturday. Prior to Saturday's match, Erskine honored its 2026 senior class: Mikey Widmyer, Ricardo Rivera, Tristan Gaddy, Jacob Mullen, Gino Briglio, Logyn Wells, Jordan Stoll, Kaleb Hinson, and Allen Faison.

Erskine hit .232 (54 K / 22 E / 138 TA) for the match, while holding King to a .150 hitting percentage. Both teams totaled three aces in the match, and King held a narrow 7 to 6 advantage in blocks, but the Fleet had eight more kills than the Tornado.

THE PLAYERS
Setter Gino Briglio led the Fleet on Friday night behind a 35-assist, 4-ace, 4-block performance. Briglio also added in seven digs in the Fleet's sweep over Lees-McRae. On Saturday, Jacob Mullen, one of the nine seniors honored prior to the match, delivered a match-high 18 kills on a .324 hitting percentage. Mullen also totaled five blocks and nine digs to lead the Fleet past King.

WHAT'S NEXT? 
Erskine visits North Greenville University (8-8, 5-4 CC) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Trailblazers edged the Fleet in five sets in Due West last month.
