Erskine Men's Volleyball | Fleet down Lincoln Memorial to split weekend road trip

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (2-1) split a pair of road games in Tennessee over the weekend. The Fleet were swept by Tusculum University (2-1) on Friday but bounced back with an impressive four-set win at Lincoln Memorial University (3-1) on Saturday.

The duo of Colin Fahey (12 kills, 5 blocks) and Gino Briglio (44 assists, 8 digs) helped the Fleet earn their first road win of the young season on Saturday at LMU.

Junior middle blocker Colin Fahey had his best performance of his Erskine career on Saturday, pouring in career highs in kills (12) and blocks (5). Fahey recorded the 12 kills on just 15 swings, recording a remarkable .667 hitting percentage, as the Railsplitters had no answer for Fahey all game long.

THE TEAM
Erskine hit .333 (56 K / 17 E / 117 TA) for the match, edging out Lincoln Memorial's .319 hitting percentage. The Fleet had decided advantages in blocks (11 to 6) and aces (6 to 3) over the Railsplitters.

Erskine has back-to-back home games against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (2-0), starting Thursday at 6 p.m. inside Belk Arena, before the teams will do it again on Friday evening as well.
