ROME, Ga. – The Erskine College women's volleyball team (2-9, 1-3 CC) was defeated by Shorter University (4-5, 3-1 CC) in four sets at the Winthrop-King Centre on Wednesday night.

THE TEAM
Erskine hit just .061 (33 K / 25 E / 132 A) for the match, struggling offensively outside of their second-set victory. Meanwhile, Shorter posted a .272 hitting percentage in the match. Erskine had an 8 to 6 advantage in aces but were outblocked, 5 to 1.

WHAT'S NEXT? 
Erskine continues this road trip with a Friday showdown at Francis Marion University (5-6, 4-0 CC) at 4 p.m. The Fleet went into Florence last season and took down the Patriots in four sets, their first win at FMU since 2014.
