BREVARD, N.C. – The Erskine College football team (0-3) was defeated by Brevard College (2-1) by a score of 38-34 at Ives-Lemel Family Field on Saturday evening.

Erskine jumped out to a 21-0 lead in the first half and totaled 590 yards of offense, but a Brevard comeback made for an entertaining final minutes. With less than two minutes remaining, Siah Mack took a dump-off pass 38 yards into the endzone to put the Fleet back in front 34-31. However, the hosts responded with a scoring drive of their own in the final seconds as the Fleet came up short.

• Erskine quarterback Ryan Killmer had his best outing of his young Flying Fleet career, passing for 424 yards and 3 touchdowns.
• Logan Coldren crossed the century mark for the first time this season, totaling 118 yards and a pair of scores on 17 carries.
• Josh Brown (4 rec, 99 yards, 1 TD) and Rodshaun Dorsey (9 rec, 96 yards, 1 TD) led the way for the Fleet's receivers, while Siah Mack also added 78 yards and a score as well.
• Ethan Knox tallied a team-leading 7 tackles, while Skyler Vega added a sack and a forced fumble.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine finishes this grueling four-game road trip to open the season next Saturday at No. 23 Delta State University (3-1) at 6 p.m. The Fleet and Statesmen were scheduled to play last season, but the game was canceled due to the effects of Hurricane Helene.
