DUE WEST, S.C. – The Erskine College men's basketball team (10-18, 6-14 CC) was defeated by Young Harris College (20-8, 15-5 CC) by a score of 73-72 at Belk Arena on Wednesday night in the Fleet's final game of the regular season.
Prior to the game, Erskine honored its 2024-25 Men's Basketball Senior Class;

Adin Daniels, Jaylen Jennings,
Ja'Hiem Handy,
Kyale Lindsay, and
Makayl Rakestraw.
In a game that included 25 lead changes, the Flying Fleet were unable to make enough plays down the stretch as Young Harris escaped with a one-point win.

Erskine shot 41% (25-61) from the field and 38% (15-40) from the three-point line, but just 58% (7-12) from the free throw line. The Fleet led by as many as nine points early in the second half but YHC totaled 19 offensive rebounds, which they converted into 17 second chance points. The visitors also made 14 more free throws than the Fleet.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Despite the loss, Erskine has earned a spot in the Conference Carolinas Tournament for the first time since the 2018-19 season. Erskine will be the No. 11 seed in the event and begin its tournament by taking on the No. 8 seed, Lees-McRae College, in a game hosted by King University, on Sunday at 6 p.m. The Bobcats took down the Fleet, 102-91, in the only regular season meeting between the teams back in December.
